Hello,
My name is Sharukh Kahn (no, not the Bollywood Badshah, Just a regular guy 🙂 . I am a learned cook and have passion for Italian Cuisine. I have also done my bachelors in Hotel Management. It’s my dream to be able to make it big in the hospitality industry.
Currently, i am considering to start off with a startup idea of setting up a chain of small Italian cafes. The idea is to offer in authentic Italian cuisine for India. I have had the privilege of living in Europe and have experienced the real Italian restaurants. But, what was very interesting for me were those little Italian Cafes that you can find in the corner of every street in Rome. So, i want to bring such Italian Cafe concept to India.
Overall vision is as follows:
1. Setup a small to mid sized cafes in an area of approximately 500 to 700 square feet.
2. Create an authentic ambience of Italian cafe with simple interiors with pictures of Italian cities and food.
3. Serve a standard menu of Pizzas, Pasts and some Desserts. of course espresso and cappuccino will also be on the menu.
4. Depending on the license availability, also offer a few types of wines
As of now, i am in the process of defining interiors and agreeing on the menu. Next will be to look for the location of the first outlet.
I want to realise this dream of mine of setting up an Italian cafe by collaborating with a cofounder or business partner. I am specifically looking for:
1. Someone with interest in the hospitality industry
2. Share the passion for Italian cuisine
3. Has great business acumen
4. Is good with online tools and online marketing
5. Previous experience in hospitality industry is preferred, but not a must.
An Ideal cofounder, should also invest in the business for equal equity. We both will invest equal time and money and will be equal partners in the business.
